With its strong identity and protected territories, Brittany promises authentic, singular and uninhibited experiences – a combo that is attracting more and more companies.

The COVID crisis has not only made Brittany a favorite destination for city dwellers in search of sea air. It has also turned it into a top destination for executive committees, SMEs, VSEs and start-ups. This trend began years ago with the modernization of the TGV lines, putting Brest three and a half hours from Paris, and Rennes ninety minutes away. Now more accessible, Brittany is attracting business tourism to its four departments: Finistère, Côtes d’Armor, Ile et Vilaine and Morbihan.

Why does Morbihan attract companies for their seminars?

The department of the “Petite Mer” (Mor-Bihan) is the most attractive of the four that make up the region, accounting for almost a third of business overnight stays. There’s no shortage of resources and activities: boat rallies to showcase the Gulf of Morbihan and Quiberon Bay, “Navix” shuttle tours with tasting stops at oyster farms, “digital detox” on the beach with yoga classes or “longe-cote” walks, marine environment awareness and beach clean-ups. The region’s temperate oceanic climate is milder than that of other départements, providing more sunshine. On average, there are 1,900 hours of sunshine a year on the coast and in the Gulf, and 1,750 in Lorient. Overall, this is more than in the Basque country. Cumulative rainfall is only slightly higher than in the Mediterranean basin.

In terms of accessibility, Morbihan ticks all the right boxes: it’s ideally located between the major cities of Nantes and Rennes, just a few hours from the tip of Brittany. Morbihan benefits from a network of free national roads. With the opening of the Paris-Rennes high-speed line, Vannes is now less than two and a half hours from Paris. Morbihan is also close to Lorient and Nantes airports, as well as the Vannes-Meucon aerodrome, for private jet travel.

Good deals for renting accommodation for a company seminar in Morbihan?

Yes, there are good deals to be had. You’ll find numerous websites listing available rooms and hotels, sometimes with special offers. But if you want to get away from it all and take your employees to a place where they can relax and unwind, we suggest renting a large house for a few days. Not far from the Golfe du Morbihan, of course. In the commune of Sarzeau, very close to the Château de Suscinio, just a few meters from one of the most beautiful beaches on the Rhuys peninsula, you’ll find our house, “Susci”. Up to four hundred and seventy square meters can be rented, for several days at a time. Twenty people, nine bedrooms, nineteen beds, seven bathrooms and a separate, well-equipped seminar area are all available. An ideal configuration in a natural setting that’s as stimulating as it is relaxing, perfect for taking a step back and bringing teams together! SMEs, VSEs, start-ups, management committees… Susci is a seminar venue adapted to each of these structures.
